Namiki Yabu Soba並木藪蕎麦

Founded in 1913, Namiki Yabu Soba is one of the famed Yabu Gosanke, the three great traditional Yabu-style soba restaurants. Its fragrant, slightly gray, thin soba noodles paired with a sharp, dry dipping sauce embody the true Edo-style flavor that has captivated soba aficionados for generations. The signature zaru soba highlights the noodles’ aroma—just a quick dip into the crisp, concentrated sauce enhances their flavor beautifully. When enjoyed with tempura, the pairing brings an added layer of light, savory richness.Another specialty is their taruzake—Kikumasamune sake aged in cedar barrels—served as sobamae (a pre-soba drink). Its gentle cedar aroma pairs exceptionally well with soba and is beloved by regulars.A true Asakusa classic, this restaurant brings together tradition and Edo-style sophistication in every bowl.
