Asakusa Kannon Senso-ji浅草観音 浅草寺

The Asakusa Kannon Senso-ji is the oldest temple in the metropolitan area established in 628.
It is also called ”Asakusa Kannon”since its principal object of worship is Kannon Bosatsu and is well known even today. Usually you go through Kaminarimon and pass Nakamise Street to visit the main temple but there are many other places to visit on the vast grounds like the oldest building at Senso-ji ”Yakushido”, the ”Zenizukaji Zoudou”where you pray for a flourishing business, the ”Nitenmon”which was designated an important cultural property and the ”Sacred Tree”which is over 800 years old. https://www.smartmagazine.jp/tokyo/spots/76/
