Professional Sumo Wrestling had a history of more than 1400 years before its foundations of today were established during the Edo period. The official Sumo tournament of Tokyo takes place in Ryogoku Kokugikan Hall. It is known for being the sacred place of Sumo. Besides from Sumo tournaments, other events and live performances also take place here.
